- How did you come up with the idea for this website?
A few years ago, one of the owners of the website was invited to the home of a 30 year plus vintage items collector. Her home was decorated entirely in
vintage pieces from the 19th and early 20th century. It was an amazing, enchanting collection with everything from clothing to jewelry, books and art work,
from the floor to the ceilings. Even the ceiling fixtures were vintage. She caught the vintage bug and fell in love with vintage paper and illustrated books
and has been collecting ever since. Since she is a professional graphics designer, scanning and restoring the vintage postcards
was inevitable!
- Why have you restricted access to the images to the members directory only?
This protects our site from abuse in its many forms. There are people on the Internet who hijack entire websites, put them up
under a different domain name and call it their own. Then they go into competition with the people they hijacked. There are others who simply run through
your whole website and take everything they can, using automated site ripping software. We think our solution is an elegant solution - members get the very
best we can offer and would-be abusers move on to greener pastures that are much easier to plunder.
- What are printable greeting cards?
They are high resolution PDF files. Each PDF contains a single greeting card that you download and print to your own printer.
PDF is the best and most compact format for downloads, suitable for downloading, while still keeping the
very, very high resolution of a commercially printed greeting card or printable item.
- What is the resolution of the high quality printable items?
We do all our scanning and restoration work at 600 dpi. Then we reformat to 300 dpi, which is commercial level.
- Can I take my printable greeting card file to a commercial printer?
Absolutely. You can print in quantity if you want to, but you can only use them for personal use. You cannot print them for other people or
resell them to other people without proper licensing. If you want to make money with the images, simply sign up for the
affiliate program. It is a generous
program and you can do really well with it. If you would really like to go the printing route, we do have a program you can sign up for. Simply send us an email
and ask us about our commercial programs. Tell us what you'd like to do, we are open to new ideas and licensing options.
- Will you have more holiday items in the future?
Yes, we have new greeting cards and items planned for each of the major holidays. The new images will go online about a month and a half before each
major holiday. Plus, we have new releases scheduled far into the the future at this point. Be sure to sign up on one of our membership plans and you will
receive advance notice.
- Do you have paper and digital items for scrapbooking?
Yes we do, and we plan to have more. In fact, you can print out any of our greeting cards on archival paper, cut them out or crop them and use them in a
scrapbook. They print beautifully and make a wonderful embellishment in any scrapbook.
- Can you restore and enhance my vintage postcards?
Yes we can, provided they are not too badly damaged. We will want to look at a scan of the postcard so we can see how much work is involved.

- Are all the graphics and printables free on your website?
No they are not. The 24K Gold membership plan provides access to a large and growing selection. The free membership selection is much smaller, and it
changes frequently. Other selections are available only as finished prints or printed items through our preferred print and frame shops or in CD collections.
- Can I resell or redistribute your graphics?
No. We do not grant you permission to resell or redistribute any of our graphics located online nor on any on our CD collections
or in our PDFs for ANY reason. Please read our copyright notice and terms of use for further explanation.
We are ethical business people and we expect those who use our graphics to have the same level of integrity.
- Will your downloads cause any problems with my computer?
No. Our downloads are scanned for viruses before we publish them online and are compatible with Windows operating systems.
We cannot be held responsible for any damage claims to your hardware or software.
